Upcoming Events

• Tuesday, May 12th -  Students get to see a performance of The Lion King 

• Wednesday, May 13th - Open School Night (letters coming home tomorrow) 
• Lower Grades will be from 4:45 - 6:15 and Upper Grades from 6:30 - 7:45.  
• This is not a CONFERENCE night.  It is an Open School Night for parents. 

• Thursday, May 14th - MOSL - 2 Texts and 2 Short Responses (periods 3 and 4)  
• Questions should be answered using the R.A.C.E format to make sure they get as many points as possible and have two facts from the text to support their claim.

• Friday, May 15th - MOSL - Same 2 Texts - 1 Opinion Piece Essay (periods 3 and 4)  
• This should have an introduction that includes a hook, the titles of the texts, and what they will be proving or writing about.  A body paragraph that supports their opinion using 2 details from the first text, and two details from the second text.  Each detail should be explained and show how it supports their opinion.  Finally, it should end with a conclusion paragraph that sums up what they have written about and their opinion and any personal connection they can make to the prompt.
