Dear Parents and Students:
The next three days it is vital that you arrive at school on time and ready to learn. That means come with 2 sharpened #2 pencils. Get plenty of sleep and have a big breakfast. We are doing our Mock Testing for ELA this week and MATH next week.
About 2/3 of the students will be testing with me, but another 1/3 of the students will be going to testing rooms (testing our testing conditions) to take their test. Our classroom is a regular time classroom, which means the students will ONLY get 50 minutes to complete the test.
They will be testing Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week and next week. This will give students an idea of what to expect during real testing, what the time feels like, and how they can improve between now and April and get all 3's and 4's on those state tests.
Once the tests are done, you cannot move around the room. You cannot talk. You cannot play on the computer. For the entirety of the test (50 minutes), all you can do is work on the test.
The school will be in "TESTING" mode for most of first, second, and third periods.
