Spring Is Here!

Or so we thought....

Yes, the day was marked by SNOW almost all day starting around 11AM....

• 1st - We did our Test Prep for ELA and then started a new class novel called "THE BFG".  We read the first two chapters which show the mood of the story and introduce the main characters - Sophie and the BFG.  The kids didn't want to stop reading, so that is a good sign!
• 2nd - Science
• 3rd - ReadyGen 3B - Lesson 1 - We started a new unit and new Nonfiction text "Anatomy of a Volcano".  We focused on what makes a nonfiction text a nonfiction text.
• 4th - Review of Chapter 7 in GoMath by looking at specific test questions from Unit 7 Test.
• 5th - Chapter 7 Performance Task.
• 6th - Lunch
• 7th - GoMath 8.1 - Multiplying fractions using unit fractions.

Homework:

• Practice with adding and subtracting fractions
• Practice with converting mixed numbers and improper fractions
• GoMath Practice Book 8.1
